News from Chase Lane

Last night after a dinner of grilled chicken breasts, rice and green beans out on our back deck, the whole family went on a walk down our cul-de-sac -- Jennifer and I walking, Gavin running and laughing (he thought we were chasing him but we weren't), and Caleb tooling around on the new bicycle he got for his birthday. Anyway, we ended up meeting up with some of our neighbors who have 4 kids that are pretty close to our boys' age and walked around the cul-de-sac talking, exploring a new home that's being built and trading neighborhood gossip. So here's the big deal. Jennifer and I moved out of our neighborhood in Pekin in May of 2003, and before moving into our current house in November, had a living situation that isolated us from any neighbors. It feels good to get connected again to the "real" world again.
