Tis the season to be busy

Church work is very cyclical. There are times when things are "running around like a chicken with your head cut off" busy, and then there are slower times. At our church, we're just coming to the end of some slower times. June & July are typically pretty slow around here -- many staff go on vacation, ministries take a hiatus because many eople are out of town, etc. But in August, things take off...here's a brief look at the fall at Northwoods/Nexus: FEC Convention (this week) -- we host our denominations annual convention WCA Leadership Summit (next week) New Community starts up again (aug.) New church website launch (sept) Staff Retreat (Sept) Catalyst (Sept) Nexus Retreat (Oct.) Budget Process (oct.-nov.) Here's the thing -- while the list is a little overwhelming (it doesn't include regular ministry that's happening), it gets me excited. I'm so excited about Nexus -- and what God's doing and I'm excited about the church...anyways...I'm just saying...things are ramping up.
