Not just truth -- it's not just about head knowledge.
Not just life -- it's not just about getting my butt into heaven.
But He's also the way.
Jesus is a better way to live. Full of grace -- quick to forgive, quick to make amends, quick to right any sleight. Full of compassion -- able to see hurts and longs, where the evidence is scarce. Full of love -- sacrificing oneself to demonstrate the depth of one's concern. Righteous -- not religous, worrying about what others think, but living for the audience of the Father.
This is so far from where I live somedays. It's easy to accept Jesus in an intellectual way. It's easier still to accept the free gift of salvation. It's hard to make Jesus' way, my way. So very hard.
