HAPPY NEW YEAR
It's 1:30am...getting ready to leave the best New Year's Party I've ever been to!
Our friends Kevin and Summer hosted our small group -- we had a five course dinner (created by Hite & I) complete with college students as waitstaff that strectched across 3 hours.
Here's our menu -- you can be jealous -- cuz Hite and I rocked (sorry, for the lack of modesty)!!
First Course:
Shrimp Piel Piel -- jumbo shrimp, pan fried and then topped with olive oil infused with a blend of spices that I bought in southern Spain, with green onion garnish and toasted bread.
Second Course:
Creamy roasted chicken and garlic soup with homemade croutons.
Third Course:
Filet Mignon (marinated in whiskey, molasses & brown sugar) pan fried and then topped with pine nuts and baked. Asparagus with a caviar cream topping and homemade potato chips.
Fourth Course:
Various salad greens with goat cheese, drizzled with honey and balsamic raspberry vinagarette, and bits of bacon.
Fifth Course:
Chocalate cake with raspberry filling (from Apple's Bakery) with a Grand Marnier cream on the side and flavored coffees.
I love my friends!! (There are more dishes than I've ever seen at a party!)
Happy New Years! Hope all your celebrations were as good as ours!
