Integrity

Continued thoughts on Integrity by Dr. Henry Cloud.

Cloud defines integrity much broader than just ethics, but defines it in terms of one's entire character. He then goes on to define dysfunction -- which I found enlightening...

Dysfunctional, as I use it means that no only is someone imperfect in some ability, but the actual exertion of effort in that area causes more problems, or a greater gap, than it solves. In other words, it would have been better if people had not tried, because the end result is worse than where they started.

Now, we are all dysfunctional at times, we've all had situations that we've tried to remedy, but only screwed up more, but according to Cloud -- people with little character are often dysfunctional -- because their character isn't strong enough for the problems they face.
