Obfuscated Emotion
Had lunch with Brandon today. Brandon has been leading music for Nexus since last September and is now moving to Indianapolis for a new job. So today was our "farewell lunch," and then I got in my car and listened to his CD, all the back to Peoria, feeling a little sad.
There is something so great about when you meet someone and you just click -- you see the world the same way, get excited about the same things. Besides, being sickly talented at singing/songwriting, Brandon has been that for me. The first time we met we had the same ideas about church, religion and what Nexus could be. It's been a lot of fun this past year to experiment with him and last week we really saw great results for all the work.
Brandon's new CD is called Obfuscated Emotion. To "obfuscate" means to confuse. I'm bummed that we lose Brandon, but excited for him to start his life and move to a town that has more of a music scene. I have obfuscated emotions!
Anyway...good luck man! Love ya! Hope the best for ya! And I'm sure we'll talk again soon when you come back to visit.

We'll all miss Brandon at Nexus. In the short time that I've known him, he's been a wonder to be around and converse with. If he weren't leaving, I'm sure our friendship would become even more treasured.
Bye Brandon. I wish you the best of luck.
