The Aviator

Watched The Aviator last night. I was underimpressed. I guess I had gotten myself hyped-up because of all the Oscar buzz about it. There was some cool stuff, but in the end, I think it failed to tell the story that I was interested in. As good as DiCaprio's acting was, the storyline contented itself to depict Howard Hughes' behavior without ever explaining the "whys" (except for one scene with Hughes as a boy interacting with his mother) which is what I was really interested in.
