Heading Home!

For the last four days, I've been in Colorado speaking at Horn's Creek Ranch to a group of students and leaders from Southern Gables Church in Littleton Colorado. Right now it's Saturday morning and I'm sitting in the Colorado Springs Airport looking out the windows at Pike's Peak. I got up at 4:00am this morning to drive from Westcliffe, CO to the Springs. It was a great week -- I had a great time with my friend Dan and his high school youth group, but I'm ready to see my boys and my wife! I'll probably post more later, but for now, let me just say, that prior to this week I had never been in the Sangre de Cristo mountain range that stretches from Colorado into New Mexico. It's a beautiful expansive range that boasts 10 peaks that are over 14,000 ft and 12 peaks that are over 13,000 ft. The camp that we were at -- Horn's Creek -- was probably somewhere in the 9,000 ft. range -- needless to say, the first day I had a hard time with altitude sickness, and didn't feel really good until about the third day!
